For thousands of years, yoga has been a practice of calming the chatter of the mind and attuning to the Self. In recent decades yoga in the western world is used to balance the mind, create strength and flexibility in the body, and maintain overall health. Adding a regular yoga practice to your counseling or integrative health sessions can dramatically increase the ability to understand one’s self on a truly deep level, healing both the body and mind.
At The Lighthouse, we offer weekly yoga classes, specialized workshops as well as individual yoga instruction. Experience yoga that is woven with yogic philosophy and taps into the emotions that are held in the body.
Current Yoga Classes ($10):
Mondays, 6:30-7:30pm
Wednesdays, 12-1pm
We also offer personal Yoga instruction for couples, designed to increase communication between both partners in both a verbal and physical manner. This specialized type of Yoga instruction, in conjuction with our couples therapy work assists in the development of a synergistic connection between the couple reflected in the bond that is created and trust that develops.
